Pássaro em cerâmica - Ceramic bird pendant

Semanalmente participo de uns desafios de artesanato do conselho de artes da cidade em que moro. Essa semana o desafio foi fazer uma arte baseada em um trabalho literário e escolhi um poema da Emily Dickinson que fala sobre pássaro e liberdade. 

A ideia aqui foi fazer um pingente de cerâmica de passarinho. Eu usei argila pra modelar, abri com um rolo quando a espessura chegou a 0.5 cm e cortei o formato do molde que coloquei abaixo.

Deixei secar por 48 horas e pintei com 3 camadas de tinta acrílica, esperei secar por uma hora e depois passei duas finas camadas de Mod Podge (a receita do Modge Podge é uma mistura de 2 partes de cola branca e 1 de água) e esperei secar mais uma hora, daí foi só encaixar o arame para o pingente. Ah, e antes da argila secar eu fiz um furo para colocar o arame para a corrente.

Every week I participate in some craft challenges from the craft council of the city where I live. This week the challenge was to make a craft based on a literary work, and I chose a poem by Emily Dickinson that talks about birds and freedom.

The idea here was to make a ceramic bird pendant. I used clay to model it and opened it with a roller when the thickness reached 0.5 cm. I cut the shape of the template that I placed below.

I let it dry for 48 hours and painted it with 3 coats of acrylic paint, let it dry for an hour, and then applied two thin coats of Mod Podge (or  a mixture of 2 parts white glue and 1 part water) and waited dry for another hour, then just passed the wire through the hole for the pendant. Oh, and before the clay dried I made a hole for the pendant hook.
